Exports/ Imports
India’s steel ministry has asked the finance ministry for a waiver of import tax on coking coal among a slew of raw materials, as it scrambles to fill a shortage of steelmaking ingredients, two government sources said on Tuesday.

Merger/Acquisitions
ER Fitch Pty Ltd. ATF Eloise Fitch Family Trust (the “Acquirer”) announces that it has acquired ownership and control of convertible debentures (the “Debentures”) of Class 1 Nickel & Technologies Limited (the “Company” or “Class 1”), effective December 5, 2022 (the “Acquisition”).

Pricing
Lithium and cobalt continued to chart divergent courses lithium keeps going up (despite the mixed messaging), cobalt down while both graphite and nickel inked solid wins. First, the bad news. Cobalt sulphate pricing decreased by another 5.6% in November on reduced spot demand from the lithium-ion battery industry

Studies/Surveys
Chiral amines are key building blocks for the development of numerous bioactive compounds. In this study, we developed a concurrent chemoenzymatic cascade approach using transaminase for the isomeric configuration inversion of a racemic amine mixture. One isomer was transaminated using transaminase

Developing low-cost and efficient catalysts for hydrogen evolution is of great significance to solve the human energy crisis. In this work, ruthenium-nickel alloy is synthesized by a solvothermal method. The ruthenium-nickel alloy shows distinguished catalytic performance

In all living cells, phosphorus plays an important function in the transport of metabolic energy and as a structural component of nucleotide and phospholipid molecules. Ni2+ is found in industrial water effluent and has the potential to harm aquatic ecosystems.

Inactivation of bioaerosols is critical to prevent the spread of microbial pathogens in air. Photocatalytic inactivation processes are environmental friendliness, while time-consuming and insufficient reactive oxygen species (ROSs) generation to irreversibly inactivate bacteria in bioaerosols.
