Inventory across seven major Chinese ports stood at 4.35 million wmt, 141,000 wmt higher than the pre-holiday level.
SMM research showed that the bonded zone inventory of nickel dipped 400 mt to 3,900 mt this week. The inventory of nickel briquette was 1,250 mt, and that of nickel plate was 2,650 mt. Although the RMB exchange rate has depreciated, the imports of spot pure nickel still gained some profits.

South Mine is a first-phase extension of the existing Copper Cliff Mine that will allow the company to access newer ore bodies beneath the community of Copper Cliff in Sudbury’s west end.
RioZim Ltd. has bought Sperrgebiet Diamond Mine in Namibia as the Zimbabwean group seeks to expand in Africa. “The group has been trying to broaden its footprint in the mining industry in Africa and this acquisition was part of the strategy,” Tawanda Andrew Chiurayi, RioZim’s group company secretary, said in a written response to questions from Bloomberg News. “We also want to diversify our assets and geographies.”
